Creating Shipping Labels

Creating international shipping labels and customs paperwork with UrShipper is quick and easy—as long as all the required info is filled in.

Heads up!

This guide is for manual orders.

If your Shopify store is connected, feel free to skip to the last step—all the info will be auto-filled from your order data anyway. 😉

1. Start by Creating the Order

From the Orders page, click the orange Create Order button at the top right to create a new order.

2. Fill in the Ship From and Ship To Info

Enter the sender and receiver details, including:

  • Full name, phone number, and email

  • Company name (if applicable)

  • Complete address, postal code, and city

You can also input your Order Number and Order Date on the top right for your own records.

Tip: you can set your default Ship From directly, also save the contact and addresses, so you can use them to auto-fill the Ship From or Ship To details in your next shipment.

Click Next Step → to continue.

3. Adding Items Into Your Customs Declaration

This step is required for generating the Commercial Invoice - which is required by customs authorities in both the Origin and the Destination countries for all international shipments.

Click + Add Item:

Then fill in:

  • Item Description (e.g. "Unisex T-shirt of 100% Cotton")

  • Quantity and Unit Weight

  • Unit Value and Currency

  • Country of Origin and HS Code

Tip: You can save the item details - as well as set it as default - to speed up your shipping label creation process next time.

Then click Add so the item will be added to your Customs Declaration.

Heads-up: Customs authorities requires each different item to be declared on its own—because for example: T-shirts and Trousers have different HS Codes, and could have different Import Duty/Tax Rates. So if you’re shipping different items, list them separately.

You can declare more item by clicking the + Add Item button again:

• Adding HS Codes would be perfect—but if you don't know the HS Code of your item, then you can leave it empty—our team will take care of that for you.

4. Enter Package Details

Scroll down to the Packages section. Choose your packaging:

  • Own Packaging (enter your own box or poly mailer size)

  • Carrier-specific Packaging (e.g. FedEx Large Pak)

Then enter:

  • Dimensions (Length × Width × Height)

  • Weight (in kg)

Tip: Set your default packaging, or save the dimensions of the box that you most-frequently used from My Account > Packaging, so you won’t need to re-enter the details anymore for your next shipment.

Make sure the packaging, dimensions, and weight are accurate to get accurate rates and avoid any extra charges.

5. Select Rate and Create the Label

Once all required information are complete, shipping rates will appear. You’ll be able to see the cheapest, cost-effective, fastest, and more rates options, along with the insurance cover info too.

Rates won’t show up?

If you see “Rate Unavailable”, make sure all required details are filled in:

Ship From, Ship To, Customs Declaration, and Packages must all be complete before rates appear.

If some carrier rates (like FedEx) are missing but others (like DHL or UPS) show up, that means those services aren’t available for the selected destination.

Pick the one that works for you, then click Create Label.

That’s it! You can now print the shipping label, stick it on your package, and get it to UrShipper Office.

Once you’ve created shipping label for an order, the shipment for that order is officially created too.
You’ll find it listed on the Shipments page, where you can track its progress easily.
The carrier tracking number will be available once the shipment is processed at the UrShipper Office.
